Dr Ashish Gupta is a critical care physician and infectious diseases physician, with an experience of 16 years in the field. He is a medical graduate from GMC Aurangabad, post graduate from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital Mumbai, has a fellowship in critical care medicine from Escorts Heart Institute, Delhi, and also holds a postgraduate course in Infectious Diseases.

He has been associated with many tertiary critical care facilities in Delhi & Mumbai, with vast experience in cardiac critical care, neuro critical care, hemodynamics, trauma management, sepsis, poisonings, post-operative care and establishment of critical care setups. He has been practicing as an infectious diseases physician as well.

He has many papers & publications to his credit on varied topics including infective endocarditis, candidemia, hospital acquired fungal & bacterial infections, antifungal & antibiotic resistance patterns, cardiac arrest and therapeutic hypothermia. He has held faculty positions for ACLS course by American Heart Association, Echocardiography course, mechanical ventilation, FCCS course and ECMOASIA conferences.

With the ongoing pandemic situation, more than 250 severe category COVID-19 patients have been taken care of by him. Related to COVID-19, his latest research work has been an investigational work as Principal Investigator in a nationwide trial on the drug Tocilizumab, which is one of the largest studies on this topic and got published in a renowned medical journal The Lancet Respiratory Medicine in Feb 2021.
