Dr Rajinder Parshad trained and worked for nearly four decades in the Department of Surgical Disciplines at AIIMS, New Delhi and has a vast experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He was heading the Unit for General, Upper GI and Thoracic Surgery there. He was also a core faculty in the M.Ch. Minimal Access, M.Ch. Breast and endocrine and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship programs at AIIMS, Delhi.  He has an expertise in robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgery, with a strong focus on innovation, education, and patient care. He has done significant work in surgical management of Myasthenia gravis, achalasia cardia, GERD, hiatus hernia, pulmonary resections for benign and malignant lesions, mediastinal, diaphragmatic diseases and breast cancer. He has a proven track record of publishing high-quality research in high-impact journals (H-index: 31), mentoring students, and delivering presentations at national and international conferences.
