Sciatica
Sciatic is a condition of the spine which is caused by the irritation of a sciatic nerve in the lower back area. This irritation of the nerve can result from spinal stenosis, arthritis, a herniated disc or due to an injury to the spine. This condition causes pain, tingling or numbness. The treatment for sciatica may include- Medication, physical therapy, Spinal fusion, Sympathetic block, Laminectomy etc.
Radiculopathy
A disease of the root of a nerve. It may be caused by a pinched nerve, herniated disc, traumatic injury or a tumor.
Lumbar disk disease
The lower part of the spine is known as the lumbar spine. A lumbar spine is made of 5 vertebrae which are separated by discs of cartilage which act as cushions. A trauma or degenerative conditions may cause these disks to damage. This causes the material inside to enter the spinal canal.
Spinal stenosis
Spinal stenosis is a condition in which the spinal canal narrows and causes pinched nerves. This condition causes back and legs pain.
Degenerative disk disease
Most vertebrae are separated by flexible discs of cartilage that act as shock absorbers and allow your spine to move. As a person ages, disks in the spine tend to lose their height and ability to act as an effective cushion. This process is called disk degeneration.
Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition of the spine which causes the spine to curve sideways. Scoliosis often occurs during children and adolescents. This condition can be mild as well as serious in many cases. The treatment for this condition mainly includes- Physical therapy or Spinal fusion.
