Dr. Kumaresh Krishnamoorthy

Dr. Kumaresh Krishnamoorthy is an internationally fellowship-trained ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in Neurotology, Otology, Advanced Ear Surgery, Skull Base Surgery, and minimally invasive ENT procedures.

Dr. Kumaresh previously served as Senior Resident at JIPMER, Puducherry, further strengthening his exposure to complex tertiary-care ENT and Head & Neck surgical practice.

He holds the distinction of being the first Indian admitted into the Otology & Neurotology Fellowship Program at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, as verified on the NASBS Fellowship Registry. He was also the first Collaborative International Fellow in Head & Neck Surgery & Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York, USA.

Dr. Kumaresh is recognised for his expertise in Vertigo, Balance Disorders, Cochlear Implantation, Bone-Anchored Hearing Devices (BAHA), Endoscopic Ear Surgery, Revision Ear Surgery, Skull Base Disorders, Thyroid Surgery, Salivary Gland Surgery, and complex hearing restoration procedures.

At Apollo Spectra, Bengaluru, he actively performs advanced ENT, Neurotology, and Head & Neck procedures within a modern daycare surgical ecosystem, including Cochlear Implant Surgery, BAHA implantation, Thyroid Surgery, Salivary Gland Tumor Surgery, advanced ear surgeries, and minimally invasive sinus and airway procedures. His practice strongly emphasizes precision surgery, early recovery, reduced hospital stay, and patient-centric minimally invasive care — making daycare surgical management suitable for a significant proportion of advanced ENT procedures.

Dr. Kumaresh has also been involved in developing advanced ENT and otology surgical programs internationally, including in Iraq and parts of Africa, where he has performed complex ear, hearing restoration, and head & neck procedures while training local surgical teams to help establish sustainable long-term specialty care in resource-constrained regions.

He has performed over 8,000 complex surgical procedures across his career and is known for pioneering complex ENT and implantation surgeries in daycare and public healthcare settings. He pioneered cochlear implant surgery in Karnataka’s public sector and performed Bengaluru’s first daycare-based implantation otology surgery.

His surgical expertise in advanced and rare ENT procedures has attracted patients from across India and internationally.

Dr. Kumaresh is also a prolific academic and innovation-driven contributor to modern healthcare. He has authored and contributed to peer-reviewed medical publications, presented at national and international scientific forums, and contributed chapters to medical textbooks in the field of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Kumaresh is actively involved in healthcare innovation, AI-enabled medical technologies, and healthcare entrepreneurship. He serves as a National Healthcare Mentor with the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, mentoring healthcare innovators and startups.

His work in advanced ENT surgery, cochlear implantation, rare otological procedures, healthcare innovation, affordable surgical care, and “Make in India for the World” healthcare initiatives has been extensively profiled across leading national and regional newspapers, television platforms, and healthcare media publications.
