RESEARCH IN PROGRESS:

• I understand Research is an important tool for the advancement of Knowledge. It helps develop generic core skills and I am committed to a practice based on EBM and Research.
• Doing research on, the 10-year outcome of Arcom poly in THR, due for publication in JBJS. Also, looking at theatre efficiency, at Avon Orthopaedic centre. Wrote a paper on ‘Total femoral replacement as a salvage procedure for periprostetic fracture of the femur’ (paper ready for submission with the trainer), accuracy of digital templating in hip arthroplasty (study completed) and accuracy of clinical coding at a DGH for elective surgery, in the light of mandatory efficiency saving (Completed)

PRESENTATIONS:

• International: I am the course director for an international arthroplasty course, from my centre called ‘Meet the Masters’ in arthroplasty which is into its 4th edition this year and successfully completed them with world’s iconic surgeons like Prof Alister Hart, from UCL, London, Largest university in Europe, Mr. Evert Smith, former UK head of European hip society, Designer of Exceed cup, Mr. Mehool Acharya, Pelvi acetabular surgeon Uk, Dr. Manoj Poojary, Bariatric anaesthetist, Harley Street, London. This meeting attracts on average 1000 delegates from India & Asia pacific region. I have also been broadcasting the boutique Bristol hip arthroplasty course to these surgeon for 2 years in a row.
