  • Compression- Compressing refers to wrapping the injured region with a flexible bandage. This helps in reducing the swelling and pain. 
  • Elevation - Lastly, elevation is effective in regulating the blood flow in the injured region and can reduce swelling. 

Rehabilitation and surgery are some of the other options that your doctor may recommend based on the criticality of your injury.
