Breast Cancer
Introduction

Breast cancer is cancer that develops in the cells of breasts. These cells start growing and mutating abnormally. Cancer can develop in the lobules, the ducts of the breasts, or the fibrous tissue of the breast.

These cancer cells can spread to healthy breast tissue, making cancer more severe. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. It can happen to both males and females, but it is more common among women.  For further information, you should consult a breast cancer specialist near you.

  • DCIS - Ductal carcinoma in situ: is a type of non-invasive cancer in which the cancer cells are restrained in the ducts of the breasts.
  • LCIS - Lobular carcinoma in situ: is a type of non-invasive cancer in which the cancer cells are restrained in the breast’s lobules. Lobules are the milk-producing glands of the breasts.
