Good hygiene habits: Wash your hands thoroughly every time after using the bathroom, cooking, eating to stay healthy.

Proper food storage: Store your food at the right temperatures and don’t eat that has gone bad.

Avoid traveler’s diarrhea: When you’re traveling, watch what you drink. Don’t drink tap water or unpasteurized milk or juices. Be careful when eating from street vendors.

Vaccinate: Rotavirus is also a cause of diarrhea. So, prevent it by getting the vaccine. Most infants are given this vaccine in their first year.

People who have mild or uncomplicated diarrhea usually treat it at home with over-the-counter medications. But, they do not resolve things always.
